American Apparel
This building was originally a residential building with a bank on the first floor. Over the years as people fled the city for the suburbs, the building was eventually vacated and left to blight. The design completely gutted the interior and recreated new high end residential apartments and a boutique clothing store took over the ground floor. A new modern interpretation of the original storefront was put in while careful attention was given to cost control and the importance of revitalizing the street.
